Mind-Alliance Selected as Collaboration Solution Provider for CSIS Trusted Information Network (TIN-2) Project
CSIS Transnational Threat Program to Use Mind-Alliance Solution to Support Analysis of Terrorism and Crime in Southeast Asia

ROSELAND, NJ - Jan. 21, 2008 – The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), a leading Washington D.C. think-tank, has awarded Mind-Alliance Systems, LLC, a contract to provide a collaboration software platform to support its second annual
“Trusted Information Network” project (TIN-2).
“Mind-Alliance analyzed our needs and provided a user-friendly collaboration software solution to support discussion and analysis of transnational threats,” said Tom Sanderson, deputy director of the CSIS Transnational Threats Project.
The first Trusted Information Network program examined jihadist terrorism in Europe and produced a findings report (see http://www.csis.org/tnt/tin ) that demonstrated the power of collaborative open source networks for analyzing transnational threats. The system provided by Mind-Alliance for TIN-2 will enable a world-class team of experts from around the world to engage in collaborative discussion and analysis of terrorism and crime in Southeast Asia.
The solution for CSIS will combine Jive Software’s Clearspace platform with Mind-Alliance’s TagCite software for collaborative analysis, one component of its CHANNELS suite of information flow management software solutions.
“We have developed substantial intellectual capital focused on helping clients harness the power of collaboration tools and plan the flow of information with a results-management approach,” said David Kamien, the CEO of Mind-Alliance. “We are honored that CSIS has endorsed our capabilities by selecting us as their partner in this important TIN-2 initiative,” said Kamien, who also is the editor of The McGraw-Hill Homeland Security Handbook, itself a collaborative effort.
