Mind-Alliance
Systems ("MAS"), a start-up provider of software solutions for intelligence and
financial analysts, requires a Chief Marketing Officer ("CMO") to build and
lead its global marketing and business development initiatives.
The CMO will have
overall responsibility and accountability for the marketing and business
development operations of Mind-Alliance.
His/her objective will be to
increase the level of sales for the Company, while at the same time enhancing
and improving the positioning and image of the brand.
Founded in 2005,
MAS is headquartered in Roseland, NJ and currently employs six full-time
professionals. We have generated initial
sales in the government and financial services sectors and are seeking an
experienced, creative and motivated marketing and branding expert to help us go
to market with a full launch of our two flagship products.
The ideal candidate
has experience selling software to the government and financial services
markets, lives in the New York/New Jersey area and is willing to travel
frequently, especially between New York and Washington, DC, and other national
security and financial services centers in the U.S. and internationally.
Responsibilities
The CMO will report
to the Company's CEO and will be expected to apply experience, planning and
leadership to meet sales targets, developing an integrated strategy to maintain
existing client relationships, achieve deeper market penetration in current
markets and expand into new markets. The
CMO will also work closely with advisors, partners and senior management to
develop pricing models, refine the Company's global brand and implement
advanced business development functions designed to achieve revenue
targets. Along with the CEO and the VP Operations, the CMO will also play a key
role in the day-to-day requirements of a young, lean start-up, which is largely
driven by its sales and marketing needs.
Key
responsibilities will include:
Strategy Development, Planning and Reporting
- Prepare overall marketing strategy together with advisors, partners and senior
business management
- Develop programs with quantifiable objectives to measure results
- Analyze market trends, recommend changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback
- Prepare and manage the overall marketing and business development budget
- Demonstrate
a significant understanding of the U.S. national security market and the
global financial services market.
Relationship Management
- Identify, analyse, pursue and report on business opportunities with existing and
prospective clients
- Develop and enhance
business relationships fostering existing and new business and heighten awareness of the Company
- Develop CRM solutions
Public Relations Management
- Oversee the Company's public relations initiatives including press releases,
client advisories, advertising, marketing materials and publications and online marketing
- Design and produce all
aspects of visual marketing needs, including print ads, publications and
web site development
- Identify opportunities
for thought leadership, including conferences and publications
- Oversee all event
planning for the Company
Management
and Leadership
- Build
and maintain a high performance culture through effective performance management,
communication and coaching of staff
- Manage
multiple projects, prioritize work and balance strategic and tactical
issues
- Develop the marketing team at MAS from the ground
up, overseeing the recruitment of appropriately skilled staff to new
positions as and when required
Qualifications
The candidate must have not
less than 10 years in the government, defence or financial services industries
with a track record of developing comprehensive marketing and business
development strategies. An undergraduate degree is required and an advanced
business or marketing degree is preferred.

throughout the Company
- Comfortable within a high-paced, competitive environment
- Strong business person who thinks about issues from a business
perspective; brings strong business & financial acumen to the role and
uses this to complement his/her functional depth
